I have a great friend who lives in Bellingham, we were in the Air Force back in the 60’s, Larry, a friend for life. I look at you cam almost every day. I was in Bellingham several years ago and would love to come back to see the Bay and Larry and Lucy. -Rod, Fair Oaks, Ca

Hi, Thanks a lot for one of the finest webcams I've seen. I watch from Pleasant Hill, CA to see what the weather is like in Bellingham where my daughter and granddaughter live. Keep up the good work! -Ron

Over the years I have watched your web cam so I could know if it was a good day for sailing. Thanks for your continued effort to maintain the site. -David

Thanks for the web cams! I live in Iowa, and my son & his girlfriend live in Bellingham, so I like to look at the web cams to see the actual town. I have never been there, so it makes me feel a little closer to them to be able to at least look on the web cams. -Lori

Hi My husband and I own a boat that is moored at Squalicum Marina. It is so wonderful to able to see Bellingham Bay as we live in Johannesburg South Africa. We will be visiting at Christmas time again. Best Wishes, Donnalee

Comments from earlier this year:

I'm watching from the Meridian street area in Bellingham, -Sue.

Wow! It’s so great to see home and the (relative) ocean. I’m stationed near D.C. and I haven’t been home since November, but it feels like much longer. Spent the last few years in Germany (which is like a non-english version of Washington) and missed the hell out of my beautiful state. Please keep it green and lovely so that my daughter can enjoy it like I have when we return from our Army globetrotting. Peace, tsonsera

Good Morning! Thank you for providing this service. When I call my father, a local resident, I am able to check the daily weather conditions there in Bellingham adding another dimension to the conversation. The web camera allows me to feel a bit closer although several hundred miles separate us these days. Best regards, Rusty from Arroyo Grande, CA (Central Coast of California)

Great Site. I love the web-cam. I’m watching the bay from Newton, KS.

Watching from Granite Bay, CA, outside Sacramento. Enjoy the view.

Hi Just a note watching today from Henderson NV just outside of Las Vegas. Nice image - George

Hi, just wanted to say how nice it is to see the old hometown from Minneapolis!! Great views... but they make me homesick!! Shelli

We are watching from Fairmont, WV. My husband’s father lives in Bellingham and some other relatives live at Sandy Point. My husband and I both graduated from Western. I like to view home now and then. Thank you for the view. Scott and Felicia

Thanks for the view. I am seeing the view from Asheville North Carolina. Right next to the Smokey Mountains National Park. I used to live in Poulsbo and go sailing up to Bellingham during the wild and crazy .com years. Hope to return to Bellingham to live late this year. Thanks Frank bott

The webcam works great. I'm watching from Grants Pass, OR. Not too far away, but I love your part of the PNW. Mike

Hello! Thanks for the cam. I have a daughter in Bellingham and watching your cam (and a few others) somehow makes me feel a little closer to her. We'll be retiring to the Port Angeles area in a few years. Joseph & Beth, Davis, California.

We keep our boat in Squalicum Marina and are there almost every weekend. I noticed that the "ICE" sign is working except for the "I." Don't know how much of a hassle it would be to fix it, but I thought I'd let you know. Also, your webcam is the home page on my internet connection at work, and I noticed the other day that a seagull (probably) has scored a direct hit on the lens. Thanks for keeping the camera going. It's a nice reminder for those of us in other places about what awaits us in Bellingham. Cheers, - Marin

In the Midwest for a conference. Temps in the 80's humidity in the 70% plus. Reminded how different the summers can be. I've grown accustomed to the cooler evenings they suit me. This is a great site whether you are home or away from B'ham. -  John from Indianapolis

G'day from Gosford on the Central Coast of NSW, around 90kms / 55miles north of Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. I have been in contact with Dale McKinnon of the New Whatcom Rowing Club getting some help with building my Stitch & Glue Rowing Boat, & have become a regular visitor to your baycam, when up late like this (it's near Midnight here) just to see what the weather's doing in your neck of the woods. - John

i am watching you from Lake Geneva Wisconsin! - Rosemary

Trying to convince wife a move to this area would be a positive thing...I use this program to verify weather comparisons and compare to our home in florence, oregon.  People have her convinced that weather here is better than your area and I'm not so sure.  So far you have beat the hell out of our weather in the last two months.....TX again - larry

Watching from 22 mlles so. west of Boston. Medway, MA Temp 87 , wind 16 from the west, humidity 42%. Thanks for the cam. - Joel

My wife and I used to live on Guemes Island, so it’s great to see the islands (weather permitting) whenever the need arises. In addition, our son is living in Bellingham, and we (now living in Philadelphia) will be moving to B’ham in August. I don’t necessarily credit the web cam for our move, but it certainly has made it easier for us!! Thanks for the view. - George & Diane G.
